COVID-19 Safety Precautions and Sterilization

Now more than ever, the safety of our patients, community and staff is our top priority. Our staff is fully trained in Covid-19 screening, safety precautions and sterilization technique. We remained committed to our referring providers and patients and have been open throughout the pandemic, while continuing to maintain a clean safe facility.  Trust the staff at Guilford Radiology to take care of you and your family’s medical imaging needs in a patient friendly, convenient outpatient environment for the safest, most comfortable exam possible.

Our facility is clean, Safety is our primary concern

  • Our entire office gets a complete deep cleaning nightly.
  • Exam rooms and equipment are thoroughly disinfected after each patient, from mammography paddles to the CT & MRI bores, to the exam tables, counters, and areas of patient contact.
  • We are maintaining CDC and the state of CT guidelines. All staff and patients are required to wear appropriate face masks and staff wear other required PPE.  Patients without an acceptable mask will be provided one.

New patient flow in place ensures no contact with other patients

  • All paperwork can be completed prior to your exam, forms are available on our website.
  • When you arrive for your appointment, you will call our office (203-453-5123) from your car. 
  • You will be instructed when to enter where a technologist will greet you at the opened door.
  • If you are unable to, or prefer not to wait in your car, call us when you arrive and one of our staff will meet you at the entrance and take you to one of our private waiting areas until your exam time.
  • All patients are screened, we will take your temperature, provide hand sanitizer then take you directly into your private exam room. The technologist takes care of any additional paperwork & insurance information in the exam room.
  • Your exam will be performed, and the technologist will escort you out of the office back to the building entrance.
  • We have staggered patient exam times to avoid congestion and reduce any unecessary potential exposure.
  • Please do not bring anyone with you to your exam as we are trying to reduce traffic in our office, special accommodations can be made as needed.

Patient Billing

At Guilford Radiology, our goal is to be the lowest cost, highest quality provider in the area.  We strive to provide health care for anyone who needs it, regardless of their insurance coverage or ability to pay.

Guilford bills global services as an office (place of service 11).  Global services means you will only receive one charge for the exam and the professional radiology services.  You will not receive a separate bill for the exam and one for the radiologist!

Guilford Radiology does not charge facility fees!  Many area hospitals and hospital owned outpatient centers charge facility fees which can add hundered of dollars to your fees.

Change HealthCare

Guilford Radiology works with Change Healthcare to process your claim, submit this to your insurance and coordinate any balance due.  Please click here if you need to pay your bill or call 888-276-1003 to make a payment over phone or discuss your account with a Change Healthcare customer assistance specialist. 

You can also contact our insurance specialist at 203-453-5123 if you need additional assistance or have questions about your bill.  We will work with you to assure your claim is handled correctly and accurately.

Participating Insurance

Guilford Radiology participates with a large network of insurance including all the major plans, Medicare and CT Medicaid plus many specialty plan and networks.  Scroll down to see our extensive list of insurance networked insurance carriers.  Please note, this list is provided as a reference, participation is subject to change. 

You should check with your insurance plan to verify network status and coverage.  Additionally, some plans may require authorization prior to the procedure, your referring doctor can work with us on this.  Please give us a call to further discuss any insurance or billing questions you may have.

Self-pay Cash Pay Discount

For high-deductible plan and self-insured patients, we offer a competitive cash pay discount, including a same day prompt pay discount. 

These discounts include 50% off the fess shcedule for all procedures.  Call our office to get pricing on your specific exam and discuss our self-pay options.

In the case our provider is out-of-network, our staff is still happy to file a claim with your insurance company.  We can occasionally get out of network exemptions in some special situations.  We can also work out a payment plan with you after insurance has paid its portion.
